The man who was seen swinging his sword at a car and passersby along Buangkok Crescent on the afternoon of March 14 was arrested by police.
In multiple videos circulating online, the man, wearing a dark T-shirt and long pants, is seen walking down the street with a long sword and swinging it at several passing cars.
He then approached a passerby waiting for a traffic light and swung his sword at the man’s neck.
The bystander flinched and retreated, and the man attacked him, only to slip and fall to the ground.
Bystanders wrestled with the man on the ground, and several other passersby joined in to help subdue the man by pressing on him.
According to Today, police said the man damaged at least three cars outside the Buangkok Square shopping mall.

He was then seen walking on the opposite side of the road and he crashed into another passing vehicle.
Police added that the man, as well as two members of the public, suffered minor injuries.
Police responded to the incident around 1:55 p.m. and arrested the man for criminal threats and possession of an assault weapon.
The sword was seized as evidence of the crime.
If convicted of possessing an assault weapon in a public place, the man could be jailed for up to three years and beaten with no less than six sticks.
For criminal intimidation, a man can be imprisoned for up to two years, fined, or both.
